The Swedish label Understatement creates underwear true to the motto "By women for women". Founded by two creative Swedish women in 2017, Understatement focuses on women's underwear.

The natural designs do away with underwires, padding or itchy labels and
create pretty underwear from hand-selected, extra-soft materials that are as durable, skin-friendly and climate-friendly as possible. Materials used include premium mesh from Belgium, Italian microfiber and high-quality German lace.

In some pieces, polyamide is replaced with high-quality, sustainable
Econyl fibers made from plastic waste from the ocean.

Understatement also places a high value on women empowerment:
production is sustainable in a women-owned factory in Latvia.
